About

Amanda’s Teaching Philosophy

Amanda believes great singing starts with a healthy, flexible voice and a genuinely supportive learning space.

In every lesson, she focuses on:

  • Healthy vocal habits that protect the voice for the long term

  • Clear, simple tools students can actually remember and use on their own

  • Song choices that fit the singer, not the other way around

  • Encouraging feedback that celebrates progress and builds real confidence

Her goal is for each student to leave lessons feeling heard, supported, and excited to keep singing.

Training & Experience

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre from Oklahoma City University, where she completed intensive conservatory-style training in voice, acting, and vocal pedagogy. Her studies in vocal pedagogy sparked a long-term passion for healthy vocal technique.

Amanda has performed all across the U.S. and to multiple continents as a leading vocalist and performer. She has performed with notable companies, including:

  • Norwegian Cruise Line
  • Oceania Cruise Line
  • Bigfork Summer Playhouse
  • Missoula Children’s Theatre

Amanda now brings this rich performance experience into her teaching, helping her students build healthy technique while also growing in confidence, musicality, and artistic expression.

Who Amanda Loves Teaching

  • Kids & Teens Who Love to Sing

Young singers who want support for choir, school shows, talent shows, and learning how to use their voice in a healthy way.

  • Musical Theatre & Auditioning Performers

Middle school, high school, and college-bound students preparing for productions, auditions, and pre-screen submissions.

  • Busy Voices & Professionals

Teachers, worship leaders, coaches, and frequent performers who rely on their voice daily and want to keep it strong and reliable.

Why Vocal Health Matters

Amanda is especially passionate about helping singers keep their voices healthy over a lifetime.

Lessons often include:

  • Gentle warm-ups and cooldowns tailored to each voice

  • Strategies to reduce strain and fatigue

  • Guidance on practice habits, hydration, and recovery

  • Age-appropriate explanations of how the voice actually works

This focus on vocal health means students don’t just sound better—they understand how to care for their instrument.

A Note from Amanda

“I know it can feel vulnerable to sing in front of someone new. My job is to make lessons feel like a safe, encouraging space where you can take risks, make mistakes, and discover what your voice can really do.

Whether you’re brand new to lessons or you’ve been singing for years, I’d love to help you take your next step with confidence.”
